Salut! Account Deletion
Effective 28 September 2026. Information updated 9 October 2026.
Delete inside the app
Open Salut! and go to Settings > Delete Account. Once your request is accepted, your account is closed to new activity and removed from discovery. Server cleanup continues automatically if a step needs to retry; you can safely sign out. Contact support if you need help with the request.
Request deletion outside the app
If you cannot access the app, use the public support page or email appsalut.fun@gmail.com and request account deletion. Include the phone number or account identifier associated with your account so the request can be matched correctly.
What gets deleted
The account process deletes the authentication account, profile, public discovery profile, presence, saved discovery-location reference and temporary discovery pagination records, Go Live usage record, stored photos, export files, chats and messages, matches, likes, Saluts, created activities, and associated personal settings and request records. Your participation is removed from activities created by others.
What may be retained
A completed deletion-job record becomes eligible for removal after 30 days and is removed on a subsequent successful daily cleanup run. Incomplete deletion requests remain recorded for follow-up. Where justified, limited safety evidence may remain in a restricted archive: the reported content, report details, and identifiers necessary to investigate. This applies to reports you submitted as well as reports about you. Ordinary report evidence becomes eligible for deletion 90 days after the report was created; a documented preservation hold can extend retention where necessary for an investigation, legal obligation, or legal claim, with regular review. Unrelated account data is deleted normally. Firebase backups and service logs follow their provider-managed lifecycle. Contact support to ask about a retained record.
